MEET CHEVY!!!
Chevy’s story was posted on the Nextdoor website. Mini Mutts was contacted because he had been hanging around the Chevron gas station in Grand Prairie for at least 30 days and it was starting to get very cold!!!
Many people tried to capture him but he was very elusive. We contacted Duck Team 6 to help us with his capture and they set up a trap and within two hours he was caught!! Many people rallied for this sweet boy!
It took patience and dedication to win his trust. We sedated him to put a harness on, within a few weeks he was eating from our hands and after a month we could pet him. Dedicated volunteers worked with him daily.
Within a few months, he was walking on a leash, giving kisses, and invading OUR personal space!! HA!
Chevy turned out to be a GREAT dog and he got adopted and is now safe and loved!!!!
